Active members of the Art Guild, they have dedicated their efforts to community outreach through the arts, including sponsoring exhibitions of student work from the Helen Keller Foundation and supporting an ongoing photography exhibition at St. Francis Hospital that has become a meaningful presence for patients and staff.<\/p>\n Together, they have traveled extensively to learn from leading photographers, bringing that knowledge back to enrich their local artistic community.<\/p>\n Dan Kasle began his photography journey in a childhood darkroom in Detroit. His career includes work on major assignments such as the 1972 presidential campaigns and the Mexico City Olympics. After a career in other fields, he returned to photography through the International Center of Photography, earning a certificate and exhibiting award-winning work in Long Island and national competitions.<\/p>\n Annette Kasle serves on the Executive Committee of the Art Guild and plays a key role in Long Island\u2019s arts community. She initiated the \u201cFoto Thursday\u201d series, a monthly salon for artists to share and discuss work.
