The Art Guild invites all photographers and artists, high school and older, to submit photography for consideration for <\/span>Into the Light Photography Show, A <\/b><\/span>Juried Competition and Exhibition<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we emerge from a darker time we hope to see the world around us in a new light. Some of us have traveled while others have found new joys at home. Whether in color or in black and white, this show encourages the use of light to engage the viewer in a story of brighter visions.<\/p>\n

CRITERIA\u00a0<\/b><\/span>All photographic genre are welcome: portraits, landscapes, photojournalism, and macro photography. Composite photography is accepted as long as the elements in the final image are the work of the photographer. All work must be original. Submitted work must be the artist\u2019s own. Works previously exhibited at The Art Guild will not be considered.<\/p>\n

SIZE AND FRAMING:<\/strong> Size, with frame, must not exceed 36\u201d on the longest side.\u00a0 Work should be cleanly matted and\/or framed (if appropriate), wired securely for hanging, with the wire attached via screw eyes or D-rings to the frame (not the backboard).\u00a0 No saw tooth hangers, tape or string on the back.\u00a0 Work must be labeled with artist\u2019s name, phone number and email address.<\/p>\n

Framing of your work must comply with the above OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.<\/p>\n

JUROR OF AWARDS <\/b>John Bruno became interested in photography during a tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force in Spain. Using a simple fixed focal length 35mm rangefinder camera he documented his travels in Europe and became hopelessly hooked. He has worked with the NY Giants as a freelance photographer and was a member of Canon\u2019s \u201cProfessional Program\u201d. John\u2019s specialty is photographing performers and is currently the photographer for the Bronx Opera Company.
