Please join us as Sandy Wilding, yoga instructor from YogaLife, starts off the night leading chair yoga and breathing exercises. Concert & Conversation plus Art with Serenade Duo<\/b><\/h3>\nCreate with Live Music<\/h4>\n
Date:<\/strong> Friday, May 9, 2025 Join international award-winning ensemble Serenade Duo, flutist Michelle LaPorte and guitarist Gerry Saulter, for an engaging recital of “Global Chamber Music”.<\/p>\n Bring your imagination, curiosity, sketch pads, writing journals and\/or any other creative tools and mediums to be a part of this multidisciplinary experience designed to bring people and the arts together!<\/p>\n Discovering inspiration through flute and guitar music from around the world, participants are encouraged to explore their creativity by working on their own art during this mini concert performance. Artists\u2019 Reception and Award Ceremony\n<\/b>Sunday, November 3, 3-5 PM\nGallery and Reception: Free and open to the public<\/b><\/h3>\nCALL FOR ENTRIES:<\/b> The Art Guild invites all Nassau County High School Students to submit digital images of their 2D or 3D artworks for consideration to its \u201c2019 Nassau County High School Student Juried Art Competition & Exhibition\u201d <\/b>which will be on view at The Art Guild\u2019s home, Elderfields Historic Preserve.\n\nCRITERIA: <\/b>All styles from abstract to realism are welcome. Student\u2019s 2D or 3D work must be original and done \u201cby hand\u201d (no mechanical reproductions or giclees) and created within the last two years. Please, NO FAN art (celebrity\/musician\/etc.) or images derived from existing cartoon or animal characters. All art must be original to the student. The selection committee\u2019s decision is final. Works to be included in this exhibition must be available from October 28 \u2013 November 24, 2019. No exceptions. <\/i>\n\nMEDIUMS: <\/b>Including but not limited to acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, digital art, collage, encaustic, etching\/prints or sculpture with pedestal.
