Drawing and Storytelling in Cartoon Style (Ages 8+)
(Anime, Manga, Cartoon Network)
Do you love the world of cartooning? It might seem like fun and games but at its core is drawing fundamentals. In this 7 week class, we will introduce you to the world or cartooning, starting with the foundations of drawing. You will progress to the basics of character design and create your own character and develop a story around your character.
Students will learn:
- Drawing essentials: shapes, shading, size
- Characters anatomy, gestures, poses
- Facial expressions and feature placement
- Creating an appealing character and developing a storyline

Experience a gem on Long Island
The Art Guild is located on the Elderfields Preserve in Manhasset/Port Washington on the Gold Coast of Long Island. Workshops take place in the oldest building in Nassau County, and we utilize the outdoor Preserve grounds offering our workshop attendees an wonderful artistic retreat. We are only 30 miles away from New York City (quick 30 minute train ride) and are local to fantastic restaurants and lodging.
