At The Art Guild, we provide an amazing array of weekly classes and weekend workshops for adults, teens and children both in person and online. Whatever your interest – watercolors, oils, drawing, nudes, photoshop – we can help you maximize your artistic skills and release your creativity. Classes and workshops are small and personalized, and our instructors are all professional teachers and artists, some local and others from far corners of the world.

We host 10 Gallery shows per year, with juried competition and exhibits, where you can showcase your work.

All our activities are held at the Elderfields Preserve in the oldest building in Nassau County. We would love to have you creating art with us.

Figuratively Speaking

Drawing and painting the figure, as art, dates back to ancient times. The figure has been reproduced in many forms and mediums. The artist can relate to the figure and use it to express emotions, tell a story, evoke a mood, etc. Anything which embodies the human experience will be considered.
