Painting Orchids – Open Medium

Jump into Spring and explore the colorful world of painting Orchids!
In this one day workshop, artist Nancy Wernersbach will guide you through the steps to create a successful orchid painting. 
All mediums are welcome.  We will focus on the structure and shape of these exotic flowers, lighting, color palette, expressive edges, backgrounds and more. 
For subject matter Nancy will bring in orchid plants and photos for you to choose from.

Relief Printing 2

Continue to explore the many ways to create and print a relief block. Multiple color, chin colle’, and reduction techniques will be covered as time permits.
This workshop is geared to those who have previous experience with relief printmaking, However, if you are a beginner, this workshop will be geared to you as well. Whether new to relief printmaking or if you have taken the last workshop here, come with enthusiasm to learn something new or continue more in depth relief printmaking.

As a watercolor and oil painter Procreate has become my essential tool for sketching out ideas, plein air sketching, trying out colors & manipulating photographs for a fraction of the cost of Photoshop.

In Procreate 1 we will learn how to:
• Sketch and make changes to a sketch without having to erase everything!
• Use layers to move objects around in your sketch for better composition.
• Make changes to size, color, shapes, values in sketches and photos.
• Crop, combine and make adjustments to photos to create the best reference
   for your painting.

Gelliplate Printing: An Introduction

to monoprinting with Kaili Woop

Explore the experimental process of gelliprinting, a contemporary monotype process that combines color, texture, and intuitive mark-making. In this hands-on workshop, participants will practice layering techniques such as collagraph and charcoal transfers while using acrylic paint, stencils, botanical elements, and mixed-media tools to create one-of-a-kind prints.

Designed for all experience levels, this session encourages creative play while introducing foundational principles of composition, color, and surface design. Participants will leave with a dynamic collection of unique prints and fresh inspiration for future creative exploration. **All materials are provided.
