In a relaxed and supportive atmosphere learn how to create beautiful images from repetitive pattern drawings. This art form is ideal for those experiencing “artist’s block” or the need to release the artist within. You will amaze yourself with the results. Anyone can do it. All that is needed to begin is a small sketch pad, fine marker pens, and a desire to create art. The only limits are your imagination and the paper’s edge.

Learn the basics of fashion drawing and design. In this class, students will learn how to develop a fashion “croquis” figure, how to draw clothing on the figure, and eventually render their own fashion design concepts. Participants will draw such fashion details as silhouettes, necklines, sleeves, folds and pleating, and will learn the fashion industry terms used for each. Students will have fun as they explore the exciting world of art as it applies to fashion.

This class begins with choosing a subject—a landscape, still life, or portrait.
Working from photos or actual objects, studies will first be done on paper
using pencil, then colored pencil, and re-drawn onto canvas. Learn to paint
with acrylics, pastels, or watercolors.
