The Painted Moment

What attracts you to paint a subject? Is it the light at that moment, the expression at that moment or the emotion you feel at that moment? We are accepting works that are inspired by a moment in time, including still lifes, portraits and landscapes.

Juror of Awards: Christine Lafuente is a painter known for her still lifes, landscapes, and interior scenes. Studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and working as an artist-in-residence at the Fleischer Art Memorial led her to earn her MFA from Brooklyn College in 2004

My “20/20” World Photography Show

The Art Guild’s My “20/20” World Photography Show is an online juried exhibition featuring photography from artists and student artists. My “20/20” World was an opportunity for photographers to submit what their “20/20” vision was:

As the past year limited our access to the world and posed unprecedented challengesm, it also sparked our creativity. We photographed indoors; or, mask in place, we ventured out to capture new images. Perhaps past work came to mind and we used this time to review or revise it. Show us art that shines through a difficult time.

The show received 162 submissions from 74 photographers. Jurors Gen and Bill Rudock of First Light Photography judged the 74 pieces accepted to the show and awarded prizes.
